About WebCrew
Built inside an agency that got tired of finding out about client sites from the client
WebCrew is made by JKC Software B.V., a Dutch company founded on 24 June 2026 by Rik Smeets and Justin van Dongen. It grew out of the monitoring, scripts and checks that JKC Media, a digital agency in Eindhoven, used to look after its own client sites. How JKC Media runs on it today.
A note from the founders
For years we ran client WordPress sites the way most agencies do: a monitoring tool here, an update plugin there, a spreadsheet of logins. And a phone that rang when a site was down, because the client noticed first.
The checks that kept those sites running turned into scripts, the scripts into a dashboard, and the dashboard into something colleagues at other agencies asked to use. That is WebCrew. It still runs on our own client sites first, which is where most of the rough edges get found.
Two things we decided early and have not changed. Monitoring runs around the clock on its own, because that is the only way it actually gets done on forty sites. And nothing that changes a site publishes without a person saying go, because we have been the agency that had to explain a change nobody signed off on.

Has built websites and webshops for businesses since 2015, first as a developer at internet agencies and a software company, then as founder of JKC Media in Eindhoven, the agency whose client sites WebCrew grew up on. Trained in software development and Business IT & Management. At WebCrew he looks after customers, pricing and the agency side of the product, and writes the agency and company articles.
Rik SmeetsCo-founder · builds the product
Found out at school that building websites was what he enjoyed, and went from there into WordPress, plugins and the languages behind them, alongside an Information Science degree at Utrecht University. Developer at JKC Media. At WebCrew he builds the product: the monitoring, the security scans, the dashboard, the connector and the assistant, and writes the security and WordPress release articles.
How we work
Four rules you will recognise in the product
We report what the scan found
Changed files, unknown administrators, vulnerable versions. We never write that a site cannot be hacked, because no tool can make that true. If a site is compromised, we help clean it, and we do not promise it stays clean.
You see every change it made, with undo
Restore point, readable difference, one-click undo. Declining is a normal outcome, and there is no setting that skips the step.
One price per site, in plain numbers
Everything included, billed per production site, people never counted. What is not ready is marked "coming soon" and not charged for.
A person answers
service@webcrew.ai is read by a person, not by a ticket system. Answers come from someone who can change the product.
