Before you connect a Jetpack site

Do I need both?

Not necessarily. Jetpack covers backups and downtime alerts for one site well. WebCrew is for the person running many sites who wants one dashboard, the assistant and white-label. Running both is fine.

Does WebCrew read Jetpack's data?

No. It checks the site from outside and through its own connector plugin. Jetpack's stats and backups stay in Jetpack.

Do I have to install anything besides Jetpack?

One of two things: the WebCrew connector plugin, uploaded in wp-admin like any plugin, or one SSH key for the site's own user. Nothing else changes on the site.

Can I use my own Claude or ChatGPT with a site that runs Jetpack?
